Philanthropy

The Alpha Chi Omega Foundation supports educational programs for victims of domestic violence. As well as hands-on support at the local community level where personal involvement can make a difference. Grants go to various agencies across the nation providing services to victims as well as to provide development and implementation of educational programs for members.

Mr. Alpha Chi
In 2018, Alpha Chi Omega put on the first ever Mr. Alpha Chi philanthropy event! Due to the great mind of current VP Philanthropy, Maddy Coleman, this event was successful in raising nearly $3,000 for MSU Safe Place. In support of raising domestic violence awareness, guys competed for the crown of Mr. Alpha Chi People's Choice and Judge's Choice. With hundreds of tickets sold and a room of excited attendees, the boys put on a show. At the start, a poem was read that displayed the truths of sexual violence, and it hung heavy in the hearts of the crowd. One thing was kept in mind throughout the event: let's end domestic violence. #MSUAlphaChi

Greek Week 2018
Alpha Chi Omega celebrated our annual Greek Week in style! With the theme of Kendrick Lamar, the ladies of Alpha Chi Omega–alongside the members of Phi Gamma Delta and Delta Kappa Epsilon–took the stage for Greek Spotlight. We loved participating not only in the fun annual dance competition, but also in Greek Day of Service where we wrote letters to troops overseas, and in the Greek Games. Additionally, Alpha Chi's attended numerous volunteer events throughout the week in support of the #GoTeal movement and Sexual Assault Awareness Month. We even helped make the world's largest human teal ribbon! All the while, Alpha Chi Omega was raising money for the Firecracker Foundation, a group committed to helping young victims of sexual assault and abuse. Alpha Chi's love Greek Week!

Committed to Helping Others
The Beta Epsilon chapter does many other various philanthropy events throughout the school year. We actively participate with the rest of MSU's Greek community, such as Sigma Chi's Derby Days, Relay For Life, or Safe Halloween--just to name a few! Whether it's ice skating with underprivileged children, or supporting other fraternities and sororities on campus, the sisters of Alpha Chi Omega are actively committed to making a positive change in the community. Sometimes, we even get the W--like we did at the Izzo Phi Gam Slam. ;)
